CAF IMPLEMENTATION PER 1st FEBRUARY 2009
Dear customer,
In relation to the global financial crises, we have during the last few months seen a remarkable weakening of the Norwegian kroner against the Euro.
This unfortunately has a very negative impact on our freight income in Norwegian kroner (NOK), as a considerable amount of our total working expenses are handled in Euro.
On the inbound traffic to Norway from the Continent we therefore have to implement a CAF (Currency Adjustment Factor) to balance the Norwegian kroner towards the Euro.
The negative effect for the NOK is only related to customers agreements paid in Norwegian kroner (NOK).
The CAF will be adjusted every 1st and 15th in the month in accordance to the average exchange rate between NOK and Euro from the Norwegian bank, based on the enclosed NOK/Euro table, and will be implemented as per 1st February 2009.
